The Platinum USA TO-8600 1/2″ x 1″ Original HSS Annular Cutter was specifically designed using premium quality M2 steel for fast, efficient and consistent performance when drilling large holes through thick, flat metal surfaces. The Platinum TO-8600 annular cutters feature double-action tooth geometry and precision ground flutes to improve cutting performance and eject material efficiently. Annular cutters are often a more efficient and cost effective solution for drilling large holes compared to standard twist drills as they cut at the circumference of the hole rather than the entire area of the hole. This means less metal-to-metal contact, reduced friction, reduced heat, increased tool life and faster cutting. For maximum compatibility with the major magnetic drill manufacturers, the Platinum TO-8600 1/2″ x 1″ HSS Annular Cutter has a 3/4″ Weldon shank and comes with the pilot pin.
