This safety knife features a metal guard that immediately activates to surround the blade when cutting begins. The guard quickly extends past the blade to protect the user from contact when the knife leaves the cutting surface. This protective action coupled with the preloaded rounded-tip blade work together to protect users from puncture wounds as well as protecting the contents of the package from needless damage. The automatic activation cannot be overridden and occurs whether the blade slide is engaged or not.

This safety knife boasts a resilient fiberglass-reinforced handle for longevity. The textured handle design offers non-slip comfort and control. The top-side blade trigger design allows for both right- and left-handed use. Changing the blade is quick and requires no additional tools. A porthole at the base of the knife allows for a lanyard attachment or easy storage.
