Using the MD-0 is fast and easy! For measurements push pins into wood and instantly the moisture is indicated in 1% steps between 6% and 25%. Integral pins can measure up to 7/16″ deep. For thicker wood, make a fresh cut and measure the end grain for core readings. The mini-Ligno M/D is a great choice as a compact, accurate meter. The meter comes with microprocessor technology to assure calibration accuracy and reliability.  This meter is simple to use with great accuracy. The shape of the meter allows you to push behind the entire body to sink the tapered pins into the wood.
